The Global Health Academy at Nuvance Health is pleased to announce the launch of the Inaugural Global Health Innovation Idea Challenge (GHIIC), and to invite all the international partner sites to participate in this exciting program.
The GHIIC 2025 is an exciting new initiative aimed at fostering collaborative, interdisciplinary solutions to pressing global health challenges. Hosted by the Global Health Academy, GHIIC will engage students, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world to develop innovative, scalable, and sustainable projects that improve health outcomes and equity.​​

How it Works:

Proposal Submission Period: April – June 2025

Evaluation and Finalist Selection: July – August 2025

Top Finalists Announced and invited to present at the Global Health Pitchfest during the 4th Annual Global Health Conference in September 2025 (Danbury, CT).

Winning teams receive monetary awards (up to $20,000), mentorship, and potentially funding support to advance their projects.

We invite submissions from our international partners in Armenia, Botswana, Dominican Republic, India, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Teams from diverse disciplines—including medicine, public health, engineering, and social sciences—are encouraged to apply.
