Nuvance Health Global Health Program

In March 2025, Dilyara Nurkhametova and the Nuvance Global Health team visited Botswana to strengthen partnerships and advance neurology collaboration. Meetings with hospitals and the University of Botswana focused on expanding global health programs and building a neurology training initiative. Academic lectures by Drs. Ziganshin and Wright enriched the visit. This effort reinforces Nuvance’s commitment to medical education, capacity building, and global health collaboration.

In August 2025, Anastasia Zholud and Dr. Bulat Ziganshin visited Yerevan to strengthen ties with Armenia’s National Institute of Health. They toured major hospitals, met clinical leaders, and explored opportunities for Global Health Electives in psychiatry, cardiology, and neurology. Impressed by the quality of care and warm hospitality, they confirmed Armenia as a safe, welcoming site for students. This new partnership promises exciting rotations and deeper global collaboration.

In 1991, Dr. Julia Auerbach’s trip to Thailand inspired her to leave law for medicine. Decades later, as a Family Physician, she returned with medical students through the Nuvance Health Global Health Program. Comparing U.S. and Thai health systems, she noted shared challenges, cultural insights, and the universal goal of patient care. The experience reaffirmed her passion for collaboration and the importance of relationships in medicine.
