​Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS), located in the central part of India, in the state of Maharashtra, is our partner institution in India. It is at a distance of approximately 450 miles and 50 miles from Mumbai and Nagpur, the capital and second capital of the state, respectively. It is one of the most peaceful and economically developed states.





About the Leadership
Under the guidance of Mr. Sagar Meghe and Sameer Meghe (Members, Board of Management), leadership of Dr. Vedprakash Mishra (Pro-Chancellor and Chief Advisor), and Dr. Rajiv Borle (Vice- Chancellor), supervision of Dr. Lalit Waghmare (Pro-Chancellor) and coordinators Dr. Tripti Srivastava and Dr. Shweta Parwe, the Global Health Program was established at DMIMS.
About the Institution
The institution is located in a small village consisting mostly of students and faculty members of DMIMS. DMIMS is one of the prominent medical universities in India, which has been conferred “Grade A” status by the Ministry of Human Resources Development of Government of India and “Grade A+” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The “Father of the Nation”, Mohandas Gandhi’s (Mahatma Gandhi) ashram and his residence from 1936 to his death in 1948 is located approximately seven miles from the university.
About the Clinical Experience
The rural and super-specialty hospital affiliated to the university cater to the population of nearby cities, towns and villages. Participants see a wide array of infectious diseases such as dengue, hemorrhagic fever, malaria, typhoid fever, intestinal parasites, tuberculosis, other non-communicable diseases such as oral cancers due to tobacco use as well as cardiovascular, pulmonary, and kidney diseases.

Participants are housed in the international student dormitory on the DMIMS campus and undergo a robust supplementary socio-cultural curriculum.
