About the Site
The global health program is based at Danbury, Connecticut. Danbury, which is located about 50 miles to the northeast of New York City, was earlier known as the “Hat City” due to the significant presence of the American Hat Industry in the 19th and 20th centuries.
About the Leadership
The Global Health Program (GHP) was created under the leadership of Dr. John Murphy, the CEO of Nuvance Health. The GHP has been embraced by one and all at the Nuvance Health. Dr. Majid Sadigh, the Christian J. Trefz Family Endowed Chair in Global Health has spearheaded the program since it’s inception and is currently being assisted by the program manager, Wendi Cuscina. The Director of Global Health at Norwalk Hospital, Dr. Robyn Scatena has been working closely with Dr. Majid Sadigh to provide global health opportunities for Norwalk Hospital residents, fellows and physicians.

About the Global Health Education Experience
Courtesy to the support of Program Directors as well as Section Chiefs we have been able to train hundreds of scholars from the global south at our campuses. We also offer our residents, fellows, physicians and researchers a truly immersive global health experience in the form of a global health elective.
